비육돈 사료 가공형태 차이가 사양성적에 미치는 영향

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of diet form resulting from feed processing on growth performance of finishing pigs. A total of 90 crossbred finishing pigs with an average weight of 70.9 ± 4.45 kg were used. The pigs were assigned to two treatments in a randomized complete block design, considering body weight and sex as blocking factors, with eight replicates. The experimental diets consisted of a pelleted and mashed diet. The pigs were housed in pens for 38 days and had free access to water and the diets. Growth performance was measured on days 21 and 38 of the experiment. Tukey’s HSD test was used to separate means and the significance level was set at P-value < 0.05. During early period, diet form did not affect growth performance. In the late period, the pelleted diet increased average daily gain (ADG; P=0.01) and average daily feed intake (ADFI; P=0.01) compared to the mashed diet, with no difference in gain-to-feed ratio (G:F). For overall period, the pelleted diet increased ADG (P=0.04) and ADFI (P=0.04) than the mashed diet, while G:F remained unaffected. In conclusion, pelleting may improve growth performance of finishing pigs compared to the mashed diet.
