코로나19 유행 초기 대구지역 고혈압 및 당뇨병 환자의 예방 행태 실천

초록

This study analyzed the implementation rates of COVID-19 preventive behaviors according to the presence or absence of a diagnosis of hypertension or diabetes among adults aged 40 years and older in Daegu, using data from the 2020 Community Health Survey. Propensity score matching was used to control for confounding variables between the two groups, and logistic regression analysis was performed on the matched sample of 3,350 individuals. The results indicate that individuals diagnosed with hypertension or diabetes mellitus had lower rates of implementation of COVID-19 preventive behaviors compared to those without such diagnoses. Since people with chronic diseases are more susceptible to infection and have a higher risk of dying from complications, tailored policies and management strategies are needed to increase their engagement in preventive behaviors.
