강원 양양 죽도 해안의 해빈과 해안선 변화

초록

Beach erosion is a serious issue along the east coast of Gangwon-do, South Korea. This study analyzed the trends and causes of long-term and seasonal changes in beach morphology and coastline position using an unmanned aerial system (UAS) at Jukdo Beach, Hyeonnam-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do. In the past, Jukdo Beach was wider in the southern part than in the northern part. However, since a large breakwater was built north of the beach in 2010, the northern section has widened while the southern section has narrowed. During the survey period, weak summer storm waves led to beach accretion and shoreline advance in summer, whereas beach erosion and shoreline retreat dominated in autumn, winter, and spring. In the area where the creek is located, increased summer discharge promoted beach erosion, and construction around the channel produced extreme elevation changes. In addition, the area with the sea stack and stonework showed a different pattern of elevation change compared to the surrounding areas.
