초록
This study analyzes the current use of language in official embassy documents, identifying issues regarding language use in these documents. Foreigners residing in Korea have difficulty comprehending information in Korean. Embassy documents contain essential information such as visa details, diplomatic status, necessities for citizenship holders overseas. In a multicultural Korean society, smooth communication is required not only for foreigners who are not fluent in Korean but for language minorities as well as native Korean speakers. This study aims to address these issues by focusing on embassy documents essential for foreigners residing in Korea, analyzing aspects such as vocabulary, grammar, contents, and methods.
