유아 성교육 프로그램 연구 동향

초록

This study aimed to analyze the trends in research on early childhood sexuality education programs to provide a basis for further research and to suggest directions for developing more practical and specific sexuality education programs for young children. To this end, 25 studies related to the development and effectiveness of sex education programs for infants were selected from Korean journals and master's and doctoral theses published up to March 2024, and analyzed by research period, research method, and research topic. The results of the study showed that, first, there were very limited studies before 2001, but the number of studies gradually increased after 2001, especially between 2006 and 2010. Second, the highest proportion of studies focused on infants, accounting for 80.8% of the total. Third, in terms of research methods, quantitative research was dominant with 23 studies. Fourth, the research topics were 'gender equality programs', 'sex education programs', 'sexual abuse and sexual violence prevention education programs', 'gender roles programs', and 'gender awareness and sensitivity programs'. Fifth, gender equality programs were most often about "careers" (17.8%), while sex education programs were most often about "birth and growth" (14.3%). For sexual violence prevention education, prevention knowledge and response skills were the highest at 25.0% each. Based on these findings, the researchers presented discussion points and suggested directions for further research.
