‘웰다잉’ 교육 경험이 없는 여성 노인의 죽음 준비에 대한 인식: 사례 연구

초록

This study attemted to understand the perceptions of death preparation among low-income older women in City K who had no experience with "well-dying" education through a case study. Accordingly, a total of eight low-income older women participated in this study, the method of in-depth interviews was employed, and the results were derived through within-case analysis and cross-case analysis. For (1) self-determination regarding the end of life, two sub-themes were identified: (a) refusal of life-sustaining treatment, and (b) the introduction of euthanasia. For (2) comprehensive perceptions of death and the afterlife, three sub-themes were identified: (a) fear and dread of death, (b) changes in and triggers for perceptions of death, and (c) thoughts about the afterlife. For (3) preparation for "well-dying," four sub-themes were identified: (a) exercise, (b) nutritional management, (c) positive thinking, and (d) property.
