초록
Any contraction A∈M<inf>n</inf> can be dilated (1) into an involution S∈M<inf>2n</inf> with operator norm ‖S‖<inf>∞</inf>≤1+2 and (2) into a projection E∈M<inf>2n</inf> with ‖E‖<inf>∞</inf>≤3. The bounds 1+2 and 3 are the smallest possible ones. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.
