고경명 연구 -의병, 전쟁, 죽음-
초록
During the ImjinWaeran, the act of sacrificing his life to the country of righteous army commander Ko Kyung-Myeong has an important meaning to explore the problems of knowing and doing of Confucian intellectuals. Ko Kyeong-Myeong and his two sons, Ko Jong-Hoo and Ko In-Hoo, sacrificed their lives fighting Japanese pirates in the Battle of Geumsan on July 10, 1592, and the Second Battle of Jinju on June 29, 1593. Confucianism, which is based on the Soogi-Chiin-Hak, can be explained through the idea of DoHak in everyday life, and in the crisis of the state, it fulfilled its social responsibility of practicing loyalty. Ko Kyeong-Myeong and his two sons took the lead in such a difficult task. Descendants followed the path that their ancestors sacrificed their lives for their country. As a representative example, in the face of the crisis of the Korean Empire, Ko Kwang-Soon, the 12th generation son of Ko Kyeong-Myeong, used Jirisan Mountain as a base for righteous army and hung the Taegeukgi Embroidered Characters of Bulwonbok, and based on this, he fought against Japan and sacrificed his life in the Battle of Yeongoksa Temple on October 16, 1907. During the ImjinWaeran, it can be said that the battle for saving the country of Ko Kyeong-Myeong, Ko Jong-Hoo, and Ko In-Hoo constitutes the spiritual origins of the history of the Korean independence movement.
