칸 영화제의 글로벌 플랫폼화: 황금종려상을 통해 본 다양성 확장과 서사의 전환

초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the evolving trends of the Cannes Film Festival and its reflection of social and cultural diversity. Focusing on the Palme d’Or-winning films from 1973 to 2024, the study collected data on the gender, nationality, and age of directors, jury composition, and multilingual synopses. Analytical methods included descriptive statistics, t-tests, and topic modeling (LDA). The results show increased diversity since the 2000s and a narrative shift from macro-level social themes to micro-level emotional portrayals. The study suggests that Cannes serves as a global platform reflecting social values and diversity, offering a framework for film festival research.
