청소년의 협동심에 대한 부모의 자율성 지지와 구조제공의 영향: 성별 조절효과를 중심으로

Recent longitudinal studies have reported that Korean adolescents' cooperativeness continues to decrease from middle school through high school graduation. This study examined the effects of parental autonomy support and providing structure on adolescents' cooperativeness and the moderating role of gender based on Self-Determination Theory. Data from 2,242 participants from the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2023 were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, and simple slope analysis with SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26. Mean-centering was applied to resolve multicollinearity in interaction analysis. Results revealed that both parental autonomy support and providing structure had significant positive effects on cooperativeness (R² = .328). Autonomy support showed stronger effects on girls than boys (β = .075, p < .05), while providing structure demonstrated consistent effects regardless of gender. These findings suggest that basic psychological needs satisfaction plays important roles in cooperativeness development, with autonomy support effects varying by gender. For fostering adolescents' cooperativeness, balanced provision of parental autonomy support and providing structure is necessary, along with differentiated approaches considering gender characteristics.
