Pedagogical approaches in the four Gospels: Insights for contemporary education

This study investigates the pedagogical strategies employed by Jesus in the four Gospels, examining their relevance to contemporary pedagogical and linguistic theories. The study explores his use of relational teaching, dialogic methods, and figurative language in parables, dialogues, and sermons. Key findings include the role of dialogue and questioning in fostering critical thinking, and the effectiveness of storytelling in simplifying complex concepts. Jesus’ adaptive teaching reflects his sensitivity to audience needs. Linguistic features such as metaphor, repetition, and parallelism enhance communication and understanding. The study highlights the enduring relevance of Jesus’ methods, emphasizing their relevance in contemporary education by fostering meaningful relationships, engagement, and adaptive strategies for diverse learning environments.
