Influence of Industrial Structure on Youth Labor Market - A Case Study of Shandong Province -

This paper studied the dynamic relationship between the development of Shandong's industrial structure and the labor market using Shandong's 2018 regional floating population survey data and regional statistical yearbook data. Under the revitalization of the new economy, it has theoretical significance and practical value in terms of proposing policies to promote a virtuous cycle between industrial structure changes and the labor market. This study analyzed Shandong's industrial structure, floating population, and economic development laws based on the Logistic model. In addition, micro-survey data that can control the personal characteristics and employment characteristics of the floating population were applied to increase the industrial structure upgrade index by region, and the impact of the industrial structure upgrade on labor movement was analyzed. Based on the research results, I would like to make the following policy suggestions. First, various education and training systems for rural unemployed and farmers are required for the internal circulation of the labor market. In addition, development plans, industrial structure advancement and rationalization should be promoted. Second, a market-oriented regional job policy should be established in connection with the functional positioning and industrial structure of jobs. Strategic adjustment should be linked to human resources necessary for the development of the industrial structure. The recruitment of highly educated and highly skilled personnel should be strengthened step by step, and cooperation with key universities should be strengthened.
