중국 일대일로(BRI)의 한반도 연결 전략

초록

China has published a “Belt & Road Initiative Map” that includes routes linking the Korean Peninsula. It is connected to Busan via Seoul via the Gyeongui Line which borders Dandong, and the Gyeongwon Line which boders Tumen-Hunchun. If China's Belt & Road Initiative passes through the Korean Peninsula and logistics or transportation systems are connected, the division and disconnection of the Korean Peninsula can be ended. China is trying to realize its dream of reviving China through the Belt & Road Initiative. It tries to take the lead in world order by connecting Eurasia through transportation, information and communication, and logistics infrastructure and linking the world with China's internal development. The connection to the Korean Peninsula is an extension of that. It is part of China's diplomacy with neighboring countries and neighborhood diplomacy that China is advocating recently. China is trying to expand its lebensraum through the Belt & Road Initiative. China's Belt & Road Initiative will lower border barriers and ease military tensions, but there are many concerns. It is an essential project for the development of the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia, but it also has strategic intention to take the lead during the Great Transition. If the Belt & Road railroad that runs through the Korean Peninsula is opened under the leadership of China, it could solve the Korean War and the cross-strait issue, two elements of instability in Chinese geopolitics.
