In the late 1950s, the Liberal Party ostensibly established a system, but internally, contradictions accumulated and showed instability. The code was revised, but not in time to respond to changes in the party's policies or ideologies. The strengthening of the organization was important for the expansion of the party’s power, but it proceeded indiscriminately. Rather than recruiting and embracing party members who responded to the party’s ideology and policies, they mobilized illegality and expediency, and eventually, even public officials were targeted for inclusion. The publication of party reports for propaganda was not carried out on a regular basis, and there was a limit to being biased toward the election campaign because it was repeated ahead of the election. The propaganda against Lee Ki-poong emphasized his commoner aspect and tried to present it as the leader of Korea, but the propaganda was far from reality. Therefore, it could not be effective. The Liberal Party’s activities focused only on short-term results rather than party reform, policy development, and vision presentation, and the limitations were clear. The accumulated contradictions and limitations eventually led to the March 15th fraudulent election and ended with the collapse of the ruling party.
