The purpose of this study was to explore the integrated developmental patterns of academic, social, and physical health competencies among students transitioning into high school, and to identify factors influencing these patterns. Utilizing data from 731 students who responded to all competency measurement items in the 6th to 8th waves of the Daegu Education Longitudinal Study’s elementary panel, parallel process latent class growth modeling (PPLCGM) was applied. The key findings were as follows: First, students’ academic and physical health competencies gradually improved, whereas social competency remained relatively stable at a high level from the outset. Second, significant correlations among the three competencies were observed from the initial stage, with social competency positively influencing subsequent changes in academic and physical health competencies. Third, three latent groups were identified based on co-developmental patterns of the three competencies: High-Level and High-Growth Group, Mid-Level and Stable-Growth Group, and Low-Level and Plateaued Group. Fourth, factors at student, family, and school levels significantly affected students’ competency development types. Finally, implications and educational recommendations based on the study findings were discussed.
