The complete mitogenome of Dytiscus marginalis czerskii (Dytiscidae, Coleoptera)

Dytiscus marginalis czerskii (Zaitzev, 1953), a rare great diving beetle species, is found in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) of South Korea. We present the first complete mitogenome of D. marginalis czerskii, which is 18,385 bp in length and comprises 37 genes: 13 protein-coding genes, two rRNA genes, and 22 tRNA genes. The overall base composition is A (42.4%), C (11.7%), T (37.6%), and G (8.3%), with a high AT content of 80%. This mitogenome provides valuable data for understanding the phylogenetic relationships and evolutionary history within the Dytiscidae family.
