이소견대(以小見大) 개념을 통한심미적 표현 연구－본인의 작품을 중심으로－

초록

This study investigates the contemporary aesthetic potential of Isogyeondae (以小見大, “seeing the large through the small”) through pictorial experiments with fragmented space. By dividing the surface into 10×10 cm units, each fragment was treated as an autonomous pictorial world while contributing to the whole. This method emphasized the natural spread of ink, tonal variation, and the immediacy of single brushstrokes, thereby minimizing intervention and maximizing material autonomy. Through mounting and installation, the works transcended the fixity of painting, creating fluid structures and multilayered aesthetic experiences. Ultimately, this study recontextualizes traditional media such as ink and hanji within a contemporary framework, affirming the ongoing vitality and relevance of East Asian aesthetics.
