남성복 상의 원형을 활용한 패턴디자인 전개에 관한 연구

초록

As men's clothing has fewer design changes and is more standardized than women's clothing, the devel- opment and application of various designs are inconvenient during pattern making. This study selected three uni- versity textbooks accessible to beginners studying men's clothing pattern design. It compared and analyzed men's clothing prototypes by item, and examined how design elements are applied to the pattern in order to support fur- ther development. First, as a result of comparing and analyzing prototypes for men's clothing, men's clothing had dif- ferent designs for each item and had a difference in ease; the reference point and baseline were clear, and the number applied was simple, making it easy for beginners to draw. Second, the men's clothing was divided into prototypes because of the variations in detailed lines and ease of use for each item. Therefore, there are few design changes and the shape is standardized; therefore, prototypes must be classified by item. The pattern design of men's clothing was completed by analyzing flat sketches and adding design elements and detailed lines to the prototypes for each item. Only when you understand the male body type well, the design elements that make up the male clothing pattern, and the difference in the ease of each detail line and item will you be able to develop the pattern design necessary for the production of male clothing.
