초록
In the western and southern regions of the 3rd century Yeongnam, there were ancient Gaya Kingdoms. This was in contrast to the eastern part of Yeongnam, which was reorganized into a single country centered on Gyeongju. The development of the western and southern regions of Yeongnam in this form would have greatly affected the natural environment. The location and Geomorphic characteristics of Gaya’s Kingdoms were discussed based on historical records, research by existing researchers, distribution of Bronze Age~Ancient remains, ancient transportation routes, agricultural productivity, iron producing, and salt producing. To this end, the center was extracted through the slope distribution, the availability of water transportation in rivers, and the spatial distribution of transportation routes. As a result, the centers of Gaya Kingdom before the 3rd century was Gimhae, Dongnae, Geoje, Changwon, Daho-ri, Masan, Chilwon, Goseong, Sacheon, Hadong, Jinju, Danseong, Uiryeong, Haman, Miryang, Changnyeong, Goryeong, Okjeon, Samga, Geochang, Hamyang, Seongju, Sangju, Hamchang, and Geumseong. Among them, Gimhae Geumgwan Gaya and Haman Ara Gaya had the highest nodal rate according to the topographical characteristics, showing military and economic superiority.
