This study tries to reveal the relationship between PM10 concentration and weather elements in 2019, based on 23 weather stations in South Korea. Influence of weather elements on PM10 concentration as well as its variability and periodicity are also examined. With 7-day moving average from hourly coefficient of determination, it is revealed that weather condition is associated with PM10 concentration and its variability, while the variability of weather condition appears to be relatively less relevant to the variability of PM10 concentration, with periods of 14-19 days. Yearly averaged 7-day moving average from hourly standardized coefficient suggests that an increase in temperature, wind direction, air pressure and relative humidity leads to an increase in PM10 concentration, while an increase in precipitation, wind speed and sunshine produces a decrease in PM10 concentration. An increase in the variability of PM10 concentration can be attributed to an increase in precipitation, wind speed and sunshine, with a decrease in the variability of PM10 concentration by an increase in temperature, wind direction, air pressure and relative humidity. An increase in the variability of temperature, precipitation, wind direction, air pressure and relative humidity causes an increase in the variability of PM10 concentration, while the variability of PM10 concentration decreases with an increase in the variability of wind speed and sunshine. Influence of weather elements on PM10 concentration and its variability indicates periods of 12-64 days.
