New records of freshwater algae from Korea II

초록

This study summarizes the distribution and taxonomic description about 26 taxa of the freshwater algae recorded for the first time in Korea collected from several swamps, reservoir and mountainous wetlands in the South Korea from 2014 to 2024. These algae classified into 3 taxa of Cyanophyceae, 1 taxon of Chlorophyceae, 13 taxa of Conjugatophyceae, 4 taxa of Euglenophyceae, 1 taxa of Raphidophyceae, 1 taxon of Dinophyceae, 2 taxon of Chrysophyceae and 1 taxon of Xanthophyceae. Among these, 3 genera of Merotricha of Raphidophyceae, Ammatoidea of Cyanophyceae and Mischococcus of Xanthophyceae were newly recorded in the Korean freshwater algal flora.
