영천 청제비 병진명, 정원명의 몇 가지 재해석

초록

This paper aims to understand more accurately the Yeongcheon Cheongjebi Byeongjinmyeong and Jeongwonmyeong. The contents of Byeongjinmyeong can be divided into four paragraphs, and the 3rd paragraph on labor mobilization was reviewed. First, the fourth character in the fourth line was read as ‘別’, and the ninth character in the same line was newly read as ‘兩’. Since ‘兩’ has the meaning of an organization unit of 25 people, it is understood that the third paragraph ‘作人/七千人別二百八十兩’ means “divide 7000 people into 280 units”. There is a theory that ‘作人’ were local residents mobilized nationwide, but it is understood that they were mobilized from the capital because there were only two local people in the part of the enumerated names. The contents of Jeongwonmyeong can also be divided into four paragraphs. In the second paragraph (1), the fifth character in the second line was previously read as ‘洑’ and interpreted as a hydraulic structure, but it was considered correct to read as ‘狀’ and pointed out the possibility that it was a kind of official document style. In the part about the size of the embankment in the second paragraph (2), ‘上排堀里’ was previously interpreted as a newly installed drain pipe. But it was interpreted in the Chinese character meaning and regarded as “the part where the upper part of the embankment was defeated.” In the section on the person in charge of repair work in the fourth paragraph, it was pointed out that it corresponds to the contents of the previous inscription as a premise of interpretation. Conventionally, “加大守須梁” in line 12 was interpreted as a head of Gun(郡太守), but it was pointed out that it was reasonable to see it as responding to the “典大等” in the third paragraph, and several possibilities were suggested.
