Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter junii isolate co-carried blaVIM-2 and blaNDM-1 in different plasmids. blaNDM-1and blaVIM-2-carrying plasmids were characterized using the whole genome sequencing. The expression of blaNDM1 was higher than that of blaVIM-2. blaNDM-1-carrying plasmid was conjugally transferred to various Gram-negative bacterial species. The transferability of blaNDM-1-carrying plasmid raises concerns about the potential spread of carbapenem resistance across diverse bacterial populations.
