전남 완도군 신지도 나비 군집의 다양성 연구

초록

Although butterflies have a small number of species compared to other insects on the Korean Peninsula, they are often used as indicators for understanding the impact of environmental changes such as climate change on species. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the seasonal changes and biodiversity of the butterfly community in Sinjido island, Wando-gun, located in the southern part of Korea. As a result of a monthly survey conducted on Sinjido island from April to October 2024, a total of 245 individuals in 17 species in 5 families were confirmed, and among the families, Nymphalidae had the higest species diversity with five species, and the number of individuals was the highest in the family Lycaenidae with 66 individuals. Compared to the neighboring islands of Joyakdo and Gogeumdo island, the butterfly diversity of Sinjido island was found to be lower, but the overall characteristics well represented the characteristics of the southern islands. The ecological characteristics of Sinjido island butterflies are that many species prefer grasslands, and the wide habitats and host plants are mostly herbaceous and oligophagous butterflies. The changes in species and number of individuals were significantly lower in May due to the low temperature on the day of the survey. Analyzing the dominant species by month, the southern Zizera maha and Pieris rapae were dominant from April to July, the Polygonia c-aureum was dominant from July to September, and the Parnara guttata and Polygonia c-aureum were dominant from August to October. Since the nationally designated management species of Sinjido island are less common than those of the neighboring islands, it is judged that preemptive management is necessary as the area is particularly vulnerable to future environmental changes. The results analyzed in this study can be used as important data for evaluating various impacts due to climate change and environmental changes in the future and establishing management measures.
