The Hongnumong紅樓夢 can also be called a record of Jia Baoyu賈寶玉’s journey to find personal freedom and life by escaping from families and societies that do not allow individual freedom and will. The conflict that causes Baoyu’s escape is primarily a conflict between an Baiyu and his father Jia Zheng賈政, and the other is a conflict between Baoyu and Xiren襲人 with Xue Baochai薛寶釵. There are many conflicts in the novel Hongloumong, but the Yueju Hongloumeng intensively highlighted the two aspects of conflict. The external father-son conflict that Baoyu and his father are creating is due to the frustration that the desires expected of each other in the tradition of paternal society are not satisfied. In other words, their conflict is an inevitable result of the tradition of paternal society and the environment they are in. The inherent conflict between Baoyu and Baochai is not as noticeable as the conflict between Baoyu and his father. However, their conflict develops fiercely and quietly due to the difference in the object of their desire to own, that is, the object they want to marry. These two aspects that appear in the work are not very different from the aspects of the conflict faced by modern and contemporary people. In conclusion, Yueju Hongloumeng succeeds in gaining sympathy from readers and audiences by ubiquitously showing conflicts between fathers and sons and between men and women. The author Xujin進徐 selected some of the various plots in the original work and secured the probability of getting married through his own method.
