기록유산 디지털 아카이브의 공유재적 특성: 트란스크리부스를 이용한 한국산악회 코퍼스 구축 사례 연구

초록

In South Korea, both OCR and HTR technologies are currently widely applied, while few attempts were made outside the governmental initiatives. This article offers reflections of a recent project for the construction of Corean Alpine Club’s corpus in collaboration with linguists from Innsbruk, Austria. Employing Transkribus, an AI-based transcription software created by the READ-coop, the project group successfully collaborated for the construction of the corpus and further tested the assets with a cross-cultural research about the historical correlation between mountaineering and environmental activism. The article concludes that nongovernmental international collaborations connected via a common interest for a specific cultural area may offer a significant pull-factor for HTR technology development.
