국내와 해외 MOOC 운영 현황 분석을 통한 K–MOOC 발전 방안

초록

This study aims to analyze the current status of MOOC operations in Korea and overseas, and to propose implications for the development of K–MOOC. To achieve the goal, this study collected information on learner analysis, course operation status, certification methods, learner support systems, and paid services by reviewing the websites of three domestic universities and three overseas MOOC providers as well as related previous studies on the topic. In particular, to probe into the current status of domestic MOOC operations, a survey was conducted targeting three domestic universities that have independently established MOOC platforms. Based on the results of the literature review and surveys conducted on MOOC operating institutions, a focus group interview (FGI) was conducted with experts to derive implications for future growth of K–MOOC. As a result of this study, we finally proposed the following strategies for the advancement of K–MOOC: prioritizing the development of content that reflects social demand and trends, diversifying certification methods and strengthening qualification system, considering the paid operation of some contents through adopting a two–track system, and actively promoting and establishing policies for K–MOOC's overseas expansion.
