초록

The biggest theoretical difference between the sadanchiljeong argument developed between Lee Hwang and Ki Dae-seung lies in whether the Sadan and Chiljeong are viewed as one or different. While Ki Dae-seung viewed the Sadan and the Chiljeong as one emotion, Lee Hwang viewed the Sadan and the Chiljeong as different emotion. Is the Sadan and the Chiljeong the same emotion or two different emotions. In this regard, Confucian scholars in Joseon develop various interpretations by looking at the Sadan and the Chiljeong as one, like Ki Dae-seung, and like Lee Hwang, looking at the Sadan and the Chiljeong as two. If so, can their theoretical differences be explained in a scientific and objectivity-guaranteed brain scientific structure. For example, in the brain scientific interpretation, whether the Sadan and the Chiljeong can be viewed as one or two different emotion. Of course, the mind phenomenon of Sadan and Chiljeong and the structure of the brain are different content, but the purpose of this article is to conduct scientific verification at a general level. Based on brain scientific content, moral tendencies are expressed in the frontal lobe, and instinctive tendencies are expressed in the limbic system. This is similar to Lee Hwang's qualitative and fundamental distinction between the two, which the good emotion of the division came from Li(Bonyounseong), and the bad emotion of Chiljeong came from Gi(Gijilseong) In the end, the Sadan is expressed in the Bonyounseong/ frontal lobe and the Chiljeong is a different emotion expressed in the Gijilseong/limbic system. In this way, Lee Hwang's argument of seeing the Sadan and the Chiljeong as different emotions seems more convincing than the argument of Ki Dae-seung, who sees the Sadan and the Chiljeong as one emotion in the argument of the Sadanchijeong of the Joseon Neo-confucian history.
