초록

This study aimed to improve the surface properties of lignocellulosic cellulose fiber using the oxidative grafting method. Various acrylic monomers were used, including methyl methacrylate, methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, and varying monomer concentrations. In addition, the effect of ceric ammonium nitrate (CAN) as an initiator on the grafting efficiency and surface modification was investigated. The experimental results showed that the kind and concentration of acrylic monomer and the presence of the CAN initiator had a substantial impact on grafting efficiency and surface modification. This study contributes to the advancement of surface modification strategies for cellulose-based bioplastics and provides insights into the optimization of the oxidative grafting process. © 2023 Korean Technical Assoc. of the Pulp and Paper Industry.
