레온티에프 승수 모형의 확장성 논의: 생산 및 고용효과 비교를 중심으로

초록

The purpose of this study is to discuss the differences from the conventional multipliers and the expandability of the model by utilizing a modified Leontief model, which incorporates the household sector into the multiplier matrix. This study compares the effects of hypothetical government investments in terms of production and employment effects. According to the simulation results of this study, if the goal of government investment is to foster growth in specific industries or create jobs, the traditional Leontief multiplier model proves useful in identifying the effects of policy objectives. However, as it excludes the income effects that Keynesian models capture-where income influences consumption-there is a possibility of underestimating the multiplier effect. The estimation results of this study suggest that utilizing a modified model, which integrates the concepts of the Keynesian and Leontief multipliers, can help reduce the risk of underestimating the consumption-induced effects of income. Furthermore, this approach serves as a useful tool for realistically capturing the various effects of government investments.
