대삼소삼(大三小三)으로 본 굿거리장단 강세 연구 - 2015 개정 음악과 교육과정에 따른 초등음악 교과서 중심으로 -

초록

This study aims to analyze the accent notation of the Gutgeori rhythm in eight elementary school music textbooks published under the 2015 revised curriculum. Additionally, it compares these notations with traditional sheet music and recordings of master musicians to identify differences and suggest improvements. The analysis revealed that the Gutgeori rhythm in textbooks is categorized into three types: A, B, and C, with variations in accent notation among them. Notably, the accent notation in textbooks does not fully reflect the traditional accent structure. Traditional sheet music incorporates the Daesam-Sosam (大三小三) principle, which applies different accent strengths to the first and third beats. However, this distinction is not clearly presented in textbooks, potentially making it difficult for students to grasp the fundamental rhythmic characteristics of the Gutgeori rhythm. Furthermore, an analysis of performances by master musicians indicates that they adhere closely to the traditional accent structure, with clear distinctions between Daesam and Sosam. Based on these findings, this study suggests revising the accent notation in elementary school music textbooks to align with traditional rhythmic structures, particularly for Type B (Daneun Jangdan) and Type C (Maeneun Jangdan). Additionally, to improve the quality of rhythmic education, a stronger emphasis on practical learning is necessary. Incorporating hands-on activities such as Janggu drumming and Gueum (verbal rhythmic patterns) practice, along with utilizing traditional music performance videos and audio materials, can help students naturally internalize rhythmic accents. This study contributes to enhancing the quality of traditional music education by providing a framework for more accurate instruction of traditional rhythmic accents in elementary school music education.
