권정생 소년소설 <몽실 언니>의 장소성에 기반한 연민 분석

초록

The purpose of this study is to understand author Kwon Jeong-saeng's <Mongsil Sister>, which contains the regional characteristics of Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, from a new perspective based on “compassion” and “placeness.” Kwon Jeong-saeng's <Mongsil Sister> is set from the period after liberation of Korea through the Korean War to the period of post-war chaos through the main character, Mongsil, and shows the chaos of the times and the resulting personal misery. In this paper, we aim to reveal the structure of compassion based on the placeness of ‘Mongsil’ and Mongsil’s ‘home’. To this end, it presents a new perspective in understanding 'mongsil' and others as the world surrounding dreamscape in that it interprets it in conjunction with Gaston Louis Pierre Bachelard's 'home' as a space and Martha Nussbaum's compassion and operating principles of compassion.
