간호사의 전문직 자아개념, 팀워크, 환자안전문화인식이 환자안전간호활동에 미치는 영향

초록

Purpose: This study aimed to examine how nurses’ professional self-concept, teamwork, and perceptions of patient safety culture are associated with patient safety nursing activities in clinical settings. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional research design was employed, involving a sample of 150 nurses from two tertiary hospitals in South Korea. Data were collected through an online survey using validated instruments. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analyses were conducted. Results: Patient safety nursing activities showed a mean score of 4.49±0.46 on a five-point scale. These activities were significantly positively correlated with nurses’ professional self-concept, teamwork, and perceptions of patient safety culture. In the multiple regression analysis, teamwork (β=.61, p<.001), female (β=.15, p=.020), and working on a three-shift schedule (β=-.13, p=.046) showed significant associations with patient safety nursing activities. However, professional self-concept and perceptions of patient safety culture were not statistically significant. Conclusion: These findings highlight the significant role of teamwork in promoting patient safety nursing activities among nurses. Therefore, strategies aimed at enhancing teamwork should be emphasized as a core component of efforts to improve patient safety in clinical practice.
