초록

This paper examines the transformation of artistic subjectivity within the digital milieu, focusing specifically on interactive NFT (Non-Fungible Token) art. NFTs, underpinned by cryptographic technologies and smart contracts, ensure the scarcity and authenticity of digital assets. In doing so, they fundamentally redefine traditional paradigms of ownership, distribution, and engagement with artworks. Interactive NFT art, in particular, challenges the conventional “artist-centered” model of authorship by incorporating structures of viewer participation, algorithmic processes, and community engagement. Within this framework, the viewer transcends the role of passive observer and takes on multiple, dynamic roles—as co-creator, trader, documenter, and remixer of the artwork. As a result, artistic subjectivity in interactive NFT art becomes decentralized and fluid, shaped by the interplay of technological affordances and social interactions. By treating cryptographic systems not merely as technical infrastructure but as mediums for creative and conceptual intervention, interactive NFT art reveals how technology can operate as a sociocultural praxis rather than a purely economic or utilitarian tool. As an inherently unfinished and evolving medium, NFT technology holds the capacity to interweave art, technology, and community in ways that reimagine aesthetic agency and social solidarity for the digital age.
