기업의 이동거리에 따른 입지이동 결정요인 분석: 경기도 사례를 중심으로

This study analyzes the determinants of long-distance versus short-distance relocation of firms in Gyeonggi Province, where long-distance refers to movement to other provinces and shortdistanceto movement within the province. Using the Census on Establishments and Business Statistics Register data (2016-2019) and binary logistic regression, the analysis found that firms with higher employment growth rates and those in areas with high population density and land prices were more likely to relocate long-distance. The probability of long-distance relocation is higher in destinations with greater innovation levels and land price growth rates than the original location, while higher land prices reduced this probability. These findings suggest that long-distance relocation in Gyeonggi Province represents problem-solving behavior addressing site constraints and cost burdens rather than opportunity-seeking movement maximizing spatial benefits, contrary to existing literature. The results provide policy implications for preventing firm outflow, such as the expansion of industrial sites, mitigation of land price burdens, establishment of industrial clusters transcending administrative boundaries, and enhancement of regional innovation capabilities.
