microimplant anchorage. The patient, an 18-year-old female, sought orthodontic correction due to excessive overjet and spacing in the maxillary anterior region. Clinical evaluation revealed a straight facial profile, moderate spacing in the maxilla, and mild mandibular crowding. Intraoral examination showed a Class II molar relationship and a pronounced overjet of 8.0 mm. Given the severity of the overjet, maxillary bracket bonding was initiated first. After leveling the maxillary dentition, orthodontic microimplants were placed to facilitate distalization. Additional microimplants were later inserted to enable further distalization. Upon completion of treatment, the patient achieved an optimal overjet. This case highlights the effectiveness of total arch distalization using orthodontic microimplants in addressing significant maxillary protrusion.
