초록

A new type of laminated glass and laminated film with functional interlayers are fabricated. A high heat-storage function is imparted by using acrylic monomers having an octadecyl group as a phase change material (PCM), and a small amount of glycidyl-containing acrylic monomer is added to the PCM monomer to impart high adhesion to the substrate glass and film. Laminated glasses having these PCM resins as interlayers are readily fabricated through ultraviolet (UV) curing to show distinct phase transition temperatures and significant changes in enthalpy and light transmittance during repeated heating and cooling. The PCM layer hardly detaches from the glass surface, showing high adhesion. When additionally introduced with an aramid-reinforced acrylic layer, laminated glasses show greatly improved impact resistance and flexural strength. Similarly, laminated films containing the PCM layer are fabricated using colorless transparent polyimide (PI) film instead of glass as the substrate. Likewise, the PCM layer does not easily detach from the PI surface and does not break easily when bent, showing excellent flexural strength. All materials used in this study are acrylic-based and can be easily UVcured. This makes it easy, simple, and eco-friendly to manufacture windows and blinds incorporated with heatstorage functions.
