초록

This investigation examines the efficacy of high-frequency ultrasonic methodologies for the detection and assessment of incipient cryogenic deterioration in cementitious composites. Compressive strength at varying cryogenic exposure depths and ultrasonic pulse velocity were measured using transducers with central frequencies of 54kHz and 250kHz. A linear regression model was developed, and comparative analyses of the ultrasonic responses at both frequencies were performed. Results showed that the 250kHz frequency, with its shorter wavelength, demonstrated higher sensitivity to internal microstructural changes, providing a stronger correlation with compressive strength variations. Additionally, the 250kHz frequency achieved a higher coefficient of determination, indicating superior predictive capability. These findings suggest that the commonly used 54kHz wave may be limited in evaluating microfissures from early cryogenic damage, highlighting the potential of high-frequency ultrasonic waves as an advanced diagnostic tool. However, further research is needed to verify their applicability and reliability under real-world conditions.
