초록

This study aims to organize the process of developing an automated tool for checking administrative terms as part of the 2024 local korean language culture revitalization support project, and to discuss linguistic issues considered in the process. First, a list of administrative terms to be purified, which will serve as the basic data for the automated tool for checking administrative terms, was established. The list of administrative terms to be purified was based on the list of administrative terms to be purified established by the National Institute of the Korean Language, but was supplemented with press releases produced by Daegu Metropolitan City. This resulted in a list consisting of a total of 4,513 difficult administrative terms to be purified in public language texts and 6,074 purified words corresponding to them was established. After that, the process of developing an automated tool for checking administrative terms and examples of using the program were presented. The automated tool for checking administrative terms was developed in the form of detecting a character strings of words included in the list of administrative terms to be purified and replaces the target words with the corresponding purified words. If this program is utilized, the process of checking whether difficult administrative terms are included in the text can be automated, and the proofreading work of checking and selecting appropriate purified words according to the target word can be simplified. It is expected that the development of such an automated administrative terms check tool will contribute to easily and correctly improving the public language of Daegu Metropolitan City and to continuing the use of purified words for difficult administrative terms.
