Objectives: To determine the relationship between subjective oral health status (subjective chewingdiscomfort, dysphagia, dry mouth, ability to chew food, number of existing teeth) and dyslipidemia. Methods: This study used the Korean Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (KSHAP) data. Amongthe 1,465 individuals who participated in the survey conducted between December 2016 and January 2017, 953 individuals aged ≥60 years were selected as the final study sample after excludingcases with missing values in key variables. Statistical analyses were performed using IBM SPSSStatistics version 29.0.1.0, and statistical significance was set at P<0.05. Results: The risk of dyslipidemia increased in groups with fewer existing teeth. Additionally, therisk of low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol increased in groups with a small number of existingteeth. The findings revealed that the number of existing teeth in elderly individuals was related todyslipidemia. Conclusions: This study provides indicators for dyslipidemia prevention through subjective oralhealth management.
