수학적 능력 증진 프로그램이 유아의 수학적 능력에 미치는 효과에 관한 메타분석

초록

This study synthesizes existing research on early childhood mathematical ability enhancement programs to analyze their effect sizes. It determines the overall effect size and examine the variables influencing effect sizes across individual studies. Additionally, the study evaluates the programs’ overall mathematical ability and five subdomains of mathematics. The following research question was established: What is the effect size of early childhood mathematical ability enhancement programs on children’s mathematical ability? The results showed that these programs significantly improved children’s mathematical ability. Significant differences in effect sizes were observed across the subdomains of mathematical ability, with variations depending on program types and age groups. The analysis also revealed that moderating variables influenced effect sizes differently across these subdomains of mathematical ability. These findings suggest that early childhood mathematical ability enhancement programs positively impact children’s mathematical development, with effects varying across subdomains depending on moderating variables. The results provide valuable insights for controlling moderating variables and developing effective mathematical ability enhancement programs for young children, offering data to guide program implementation and optimization in early childhood education.
