곤충생태원 테마파크의 가치체계 분석

초록

Purpose This study aims to examine the value system of the insect ecology center theme park(IECTP). Methods For this purpose, the content analysis → implication matrix → value system diagram analysis procedure was conducted through the association pattern technique laddering from the perspective of ‘means-end chain’ theory Results As a results, the keywords derived for the IECTP’s attributes included various virtual reality (VR) experiences, craft experience, exhibition, outdoor playground, monorail tour, discount and reservation, and locally connected tourism. Meanwhile, the keywords derived for the IECTP’s benefits included stress relief, fun, curiosity, understanding the natural environment, cost savings, and friendship and socializing. Finally, as the values of the IECTP, the following keywords were derived: sound use of leisure, educational value, emotional value, bonding, and economic efficiency. The central ladder was then analyzed using a value system diagram based on the relationship between the IECTP’s attributes, benefits, and values. The central ladder begins with the “VR experience → Fun → Sound use of leisure.” The second is the “Craft experience → Understanding the natural environment → Educational value.” The third is the “Exhibition → Understanding the natural environment → Educational value.” Conclusion In the analysis of the value system of the IECTP, it was found that the fundamental attributes of 'making experience' and 'exhibition' were accepted as benefits for visitors to understand the natural environment and consequently recognized as educational values. In addition, it was found that the nature of virtual reality experience activities grafted to the IECTP reproduces fun to visitors, which is perceived as the value of healthy leisure use.
