프랑스 국립도서관 소장 직지(直指) 원본의 디지털 이미지와 세 종류 영인본의 축척 및 색 재현성 비교 분석

초록

In this study, the original Jikji (直指) in the collection of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) and its three reprint editions by BnF and Korean institutions were compared and analyzed using their digital images. The original digital images are the high-resolution versions released by the BnF, and the reprints were examined with a digital microscope for the comparison of printing characteristics. The researchers investigated the changes in design choices, image distortions, modifications, and color differences between the original and the reprints. Design changes, image distortions, and modifications were discovered in all three reprints, and the color reproduction was found to be especially unsatisfactory. The characterization details of the reprints are reviewed and suggestions are made for consideration when producing future reprints.
