1980년대 전북 지역 노동운동의 재구성: 활동가 운동을 중심으로

This study is based on the idea that the experiences of non-metropolitan areas in the labour movements of the 1980s should be given more importance. The focus of the study is on the activist movements of the time. The findings of the study are as follows. First, in the Jeonbuk province, the influence of the Laborers’ Home, a Catholic institution, was strong, but it was strongly coloured by the democratic trade union movement of the 1970s. Second, Hakchuls were not strongly oriented towards a radical social movement. These two points suggest that the labour movements in the Jeonbuk province in the 1980s were different from that in the metropolitan area. Third, activists' views and orientation towards the labor movement were influenced by their connections to the capital city. This suggests that the regional movement had a trans-local character. Fourth, activist movements have declined as mass movements have grown. This means that the mass movement grew through the leading of activists and naturally transformed into a movement centered on labors on the ground.
