환경 생태계 지속 가능성 문제 해결을 위한 AI 기반 미디어아트 창작 연구

초록

Despite the worsening environmental crisis—particularly the collapse of terrestrial ecosystems and the rise in endangered species—public awareness remains limited. In response to the limitations of radical environmental activism, which often lacks empathy and persuasive impact, this study proposes a generative AI-based media art methodology as an alternative approach. Public interest in endangered species was analyzed using search trend APIs, and visual artworks in Renaissance portrait style were created using DALL·E and StyleGAN-NADA. The artworks were exhibited, and a post-survey showed that over 80% of participants reported increased environmental awareness. These results demonstrate that AI-generated art can effectively combine emotional engagement with data-driven storytelling, suggesting its potential as a powerful tool for communicating environmental issues and promoting ecological sustainability through the convergence of digital technology and artistic expression.
