Skeletal anchorage is one of the most important innovations in orthodontic treatment in the past 25 years. Orthodontic micro-implants now enable such difficult movements as retraction of anterior teeth without anchorage loss,1 intrusion of posterior teeth or an entire dentition,2-4 and distal movement of an entire arch.5-7. © 2023, Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
