경상북도 건강마을 조성사업의 영향에 대한 주민들의 인식과 요구*

초록

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the perceptions and needs of residents participating in the Gyeongsangbuk-do Healthy Village Project by conducting a survey of participating villages. The study assessed the project's impact on residents' health and health promotion activities and explored its effectiveness, sustainability, and potential directions for future development. Methods: Data were collected from 1,429 residents across 32 Healthy Villages in 22 cities and counties of Gyeongsangbuk-do between April 15 and May 24, 2024. An equal number of participants were recruited from each village, and the collected data were analyzed to identify trends and outcomes. Results: Over 96% of respondents recognized the necessity of the Healthy Village Project, primarily for health promotion (52.2%) and fostering community connections (32.5%). Key health issues included lack of physical activity (52.0%), loneliness and depression (18.0%), and difficulty with balanced diets (17.6%). Extended participation led to notable improvements in physical activity, mental health, and community engagement, though residents aged 80 and above showed lower improvement rates. Prolonged involvement also reduced stress, enhanced life satisfaction, and strengthened community bonds, highlighting the positive physical, mental, and social effects of the project. Conclusions: This study confirmed that the Gyeongsangbuk-do Healthy Village Project had a favorable impact on the health and quality of life of participating residents, with greater improvements observed with longer participation periods. Based on these results, this study highlights the importance of sustained development of the Healthy Village Project and recommends establishing tangible health-promotion measures that residents can directly benefit from.
