This study investigates how Siui Jeonseo, a culinary manuscript from the late Joseon Dynasty, is reinterpreted in the modern digital environment using social text–based big data analysis. While existing research has mainly focused on historical and qualitative aspects, this study adopts a quantitative approach to examine public perceptions and cultural usage. A total of 2,318 online texts from January 2023 to May 2025 were analyzed using text mining techniques, including word frequency, TF-IDF, co-occurrence networks, and CONCOR clustering. Results show that modern food items such as “sundae,” “tteokbokki,” and “bibimbap” are frequently linked to Siui Jeonseo, suggesting its ongoing relevance. Keywords like “Sangju” and “Gyeongbuk” further reflect its regional and institutional significance. Eight thematic clusters derived from CONCOR analysis reveal connections to tradition, local identity, culinary innovation, and food industry applications. These findings indicate that Siui Jeonseo functions today not merely as a historical record but as a dynamic cultural asset used across contemporary culinary, educational, and tourism contexts. Academically, this research offers a scalable, data-driven method for food culture studies. Practically, it provides insight for developing local menus, heritage-based food branding, and traditional food education content.
