초록
This study develops a framework for designing inquiry and concept-based lessons to promote deeper learning, as emphasized in the 2022 revised curriculum. First, a literature review was conducted to examine the theoretical foundations of the 2022 revised curriculum and concept-based approach. Next, through a focus group discussion, the research team established a fundamental direction for framework development. The resulting draft framework was created and structured into three components: curriculum reconstruction, assessment design, and lesson design. Written feedback was collected from 12 in-service teachers, which was then carefully reviewed, and necessary revisions and refinements were made to complete the final version of the framework. The findings indicate that the curriculum reconstruction stage includes core terms (concepts), conceptual lenses, big unit-level ideas, and essential questions. The assessment design stage incorporates components such as assessment focus, tasks, and criteria. Meanwhile, the lesson design stage outlines an inquiry-based instructional process: engaging in inquiry, conducting inquiry, and generalizing and transferring learning. This study is significant because it provides a practical framework for translating the concept-based approach,—often perceived as complex,—into concrete curriculum planning and implementation, thereby serving as a catalyst for meaningful educational practices.
