퇴원환자 지역사회 연계사업 이용자의 경험

초록

Emphasizing the importance of public healthcare and continuity of care with the essential medical service system, the Discharge Patient Liaison Service has become an important resource to support the community transition of discharged patients. This study explored the experiences of this service from the perspectives of service users. Interviews were conducted with 17 discharged patients and their primary caregivers who participated in the service at two local responsible medical institutions in Gyeonggi Province. Based on thematic analysis, the data yielded seven themes and 20 subthemes within three categories. The findings revealed that participants improved their health management capabilities through collaboration with professionals and increased use of community resources. They also reported experiencing emotional stability, developed a more positive outlook on life, and enhanced trust in hospitals and service providers. On the other hand, limitations regarding the use of community services, inconvenience in service delivery, and difficulties in daily recovery due to disease, were found to be barriers in using services. This study delved into the experiences of the Discharge Patient Liaison Service from the user perspective and thus, offers implications for improving the effectiveness of these services with a consumer centered focus.
